Description
Sinaloan Milksnakes for sale
Name / Scientific name: Sinaloan Milksnake (Lampropeltis triangulum sinaloae)
Natural habitat: Native to the dry, rocky deserts and scrublands of Sinaloa, Mexico, these milksnakes thrive in arid environments with sparse vegetation and ample hiding spots.
Recommended enclosure size and type: A PVC or wood enclosure of at least 3×2 feet is ideal for adults, offering plenty of hiding spots and secure ventilation. Plastic tubs are also effective, especially for juveniles or more minimal setups.
Heat gradient: Provide a basking area around 85-88°F, with a cooler side maintained in the mid-70s. Ambient temperatures in the low 80s allow the snake to thermoregulate effectively.
Humidity requirements: Sinaloan Milksnakes do best with moderate humidity, ideally around 40-50%. A shallow water dish and occasional misting during shedding cycles should be sufficient to maintain proper hydration.
Feeding on: These milksnakes are carnivorous, feeding well on appropriately sized rodents. Feed juveniles every 5-7 days and adults every 10-14 days, adjusting as needed based on the snake’s size and condition.
