Ordering is very easy! There are two ways to order your new animal:
1. Directly through our website. Simply add your selections to your cart, then checkout! We accept credit card payments through our shopping cart system.
2. Give us a direct call or email. Call us at 703-365-2262 or email sales@outbackreptiles.com and we will be glad to help you out. We can also accept PayPal payments from verified accounts this way.
After your order is received, you will be contacted to coordinate an appropriate shipping date. We will never ship an animal without contacting you first to make sure you are ready to receive your new pet. No surprises here!
We ship Monday through Thursday for overnight delivery. This means we can schedule delivery on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. We ship with a signature required – we will never ever risk leaving animals on your porch – this would be irresponsible and unsafe for the animals. You must be available to sign for the package so that we know when it was delivered and that it was taken inside and opened immediately.
We do not ship for Saturday arrival since FedEx does not operate on Sundays, which means any delays would be stuck until the following Monday.
If you placed your order over the weekend, please allow us time to process the order and get in touch. We are often traveling for shows so it might take us a day or two to get back to you!
We are experienced at shipping animals, and we follow all laws and procedures for safe live animal delivery.
We can ship either to the billing address associated with your payment method, or we can have the shipment held for pickup at the nearest FedEx Ship Center. Sorry, No Exceptions.
We ship through FedEx priority overnight and offer a live arrival guarantee. Please be sure to read our full Terms of Sale before placing your order.
Thank you for trusting us to deliver your new pet!
Frequently Asked Questions
What does “Backordered” mean?
Backordered means that we are currently out of that specific animal, but it is something that we restock fairly often. If you order a backordered animal, we will get in touch with you to coordinate shipping as soon as the animal is in stock again. Sometimes backorders can take a couple of days or so, but on rare occasions, it may be a month or more to get ahold of that specific animal. Feel free to get in touch with us before ordering a backordered item to check how long we expect it to be to restock.
Is there a health guarantee on my animal?
The short answer is no we cannot guarantee that your animal will remain healthy forever. This is simply due to the fact that they are living creatures, and we can only account for the animal’s health and well-being while it is here in our facility. We do our absolute best to make sure that every animal we ship out is healthy to the best of our knowledge. We would never ship an animal out if there was anything noticeably wrong with it that was not explicitly mentioned beforehand. We guarantee that the animal will arrive safely, and allow 24 hours to report any issues that the animal may have arrived with. After that period of time it is up to you as a keeper to ensure that your animal stays healthy and safe through your own proper care and husbandry protocols. See our full terms here.
When are you getting ball python baby bags/unopened baby bags/grab bags/African import ball python bags?
Babies hatch in Africa starting in late April every year. We typically start taking preorders in late February or early March. Preorders will be announced on this website, our Facebook page, and through our Outback Insider’s Club email list (Sign up here).
For more information about the baby bags, such as price, what you can expect, etc, – click here and select the option you’re interested in. Pricing is variable as ball python cost varies year by year depending on the available supply in Ghana, Togo and Benin.
Does this animal / Will this animal eat frozen/thawed?
The short answer is – maybe! We only feed live here due to a number of reasons – the health of our animals and the easier overall procedure being the main priorities. So I cannot tell you if an animal will eat frozen thawed or not, as I do not keep it on hand and do not offer it. Most snakes can be switched over without too much trouble but keep in mind if you would like to switch your animal to a different food source than it is used to here, that is up to you and you are assuming the risk that your animal will not like it.
Do you have any Volta Ball Pythons for sale? Do you know when you will have some Voltas in stock?
I wish! These Volta ball pythons are typically a seasonal thing as the trappers who collect them only really travel up to the area in which they are typically found, once or twice a year around October/November/December. When we have them available they will be listed for all to see with the other reptiles for sale on our online shop, as well as the Outback Reptiles Facebook page. I am not doing a waiting list for them because I have literally had hundreds of people inquire – the only way to be fair is to list them publicly and let people order them on a first-come, first-served basis. Check back around the end of the year and keep an eye on the site and our Facebook page for updates as we get Volta ball pythons and list them for sale.
