Description
Goini Kingsnakes for sale
Name / Scientific name: Goini Kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula goini), also known as the Apalachicola Kingsnake
Natural habitat: Native to the pine forests and wetlands of the Apalachicola region in Florida, Goini Kingsnakes are adapted to warm, humid environments with plenty of ground cover.
Recommended enclosure size and type: A PVC or wood enclosure measuring at least 3×2 feet works well for adults, with multiple hides and secure ventilation. Plastic tubs are also suitable, especially for juveniles or smaller setups.
Heat gradient: Provide a basking spot of 88-90°F with a cooler side around 75°F. Ambient temperatures should be in the low 80s during the day, allowing the snake to thermoregulate.
Humidity requirements: Goini Kingsnakes thrive in moderate humidity levels, ideally around 50-60%. Mist occasionally, especially during shedding, and include a water dish to help maintain the humidity balance.
Feeding on: These kingsnakes are carnivores, primarily feeding on appropriately sized rodents. Feed juveniles every 5-7 days and adults every 10-14 days, adjusting based on their size and condition.
